According to BBC Sport, comments from Joe Kinnear are suggesting that Mike Ashley is in talks with as many as 8 consortiums looking to purchase our crisis-hit club.
It is also being suggested that the South African and Nigerian consortiums are emerging as front runners, despite reports yesterday that they were out of the running.

Newcastle price tag “reduced”

It is being reported by BBC Sport that Mike Ashley has “substantially” reduced his asking price for Newcastle United. Originally asking £400million for the club, he now asks a slightly more realistic price of “£280-£300Million”.

Return of Stephen Carr?

Sky Sports are reporting that Newcastle are considering bringing back defender STEPHEN CARR. Carr was released at the end of last season by Kevin Keegan. Carr is available and is a target for Coventry, Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern Munich.
